Lovechild has a mission for mischief. Literature need not come from an ivory tower; literature should be for everyone, read at coffee shops and community gatherings. From its genesis, Lovechild has sought engaging single page ideas, be they poems, letters, short shorts, dialog, etc. If it works, Lovechild is interested. The first page of each issue has a key with a symbol for each author, with the symbols standing in for the author's name throughout the issue. With an element of the unpredictable in each submission, Lovechild seeks to keep the audience on their toes. Erik Meyer, January 2007 |
